New section - Instants
If you’re starting to get to know me, you’ve probably figured out that I care a lot about the process.
I quickly realized that photography, like any other passion, is something you improve at through practice. Waiting for the next vacation to take photos just wasn’t going to cut it. So, whenever possible, I try to keep a camera with me and shoot whenever I can.
Sunday walks, taking the same photo for the tenth time — it’s become a kind of meditation. Little by little, I started using every outing as a chance to try a new frame, a new composition technique, or a different lens. And over time, I felt like I was unlocking new skills — like in a video game.
Go out, experiment, be happy.
But ever since I started trying to maintain a certain consistency on my Instagram feed, I haven’t really had a place to share these more solitary images — random shots, often without context or story, taken just for the sake of capturing a moment.
After a quick chat with ChatGPT (who confirmed it was a good idea), I decided to create the “Instants” section — a gallery that will evolve over time and, hopefully, begin to reflect some sort of progress in my process. For now, the only rule I’ve set is to show the images in chronological order — starting with one taken on December 31st, 2024.
